A 6-story addition built on top of an existing parking garage. The facility contains a total of 204,000 SF built in a phase operation. Structure for the lower 3 floors consists of monolithic concrete columns, beams and post-tensioned floor slabs. The upper 3 floors have a structural steel frame with composite concrete floor slabs. Exterior walls are metal stud and gypsum board with brick veneer, synthetic stucco and tinted glass curtain wall. Interior partitions are metal stud and drywall. Vertical transportation is provided by 4 passenger elevators and 1 freight elevator.
Features include 10 surgery rooms, 30 obstetric rooms, nursery with capacity for 35 newborns, 67 pediatric rooms, 43 internal medicine rooms, 18 ophthalmology rooms, radiology areas, 5 laboratories, nurse stations, lounges, waiting rooms, administrative areas and related support spaces.
