A major addition to a large, luxury convention hotel.  The project contains 1,280,000 SF and consists of a 200,000 SF “Delta” area surrounded by a 600,000 SF hotel unit and 480,000 SF convention center.  The “Delta” area contains a ¼ mile long river surrounding an island containing a variety of shops, restaurants and other attractions all set off by lush landscaping, waterfalls, rockscapes and numerous large trees.  It is enclosed overhead by a 4.5 acre glass skylight.

The hotel portion contains 979 guest rooms on 7 floors.  The convention center has 160,000 SF of exhibition space on the lower level and a 53,000 SF ballroom seating 5,200 on the upper level along with numerous meeting rooms and food service facilities.  As of 1996, Opryland was the seventh largest hotel in the nation. The Phase IV project was the largest in Nashville history.
