Many construction firms can discuss Sustainable Design and LEED™ construction intelligently, but few can demonstrate a thorough knowledge from completing several LEED™ projects successfully. Hardaway has completed 1 Platinum, 1 Gold, and 3 Silver LEED™ Certified facilities, with others currently in pre-construction or underway. With our in-house team of LEED™ Accredited Professionals and Green Associates, we will successfully steward the LEED™ certification process of your project. Our resume of sustainable buildings bring an understanding of potential cost implications, as well subcontractor and vendor relationships to reach the desired sustainability or certification level. Our Accredited Professionals have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles, and the LEED™ Rating System.
We have learned that early involvement by the design team and contractor is critical to the success of sustainable design. Since many of the potential LEED™ credits can have a cost impact, it is extremely important to have continuously updated cost estimates for each item of consideration through the normal design development process. More importantly, a contractor who is familiar with LEED™ construction costs. These items are reviewed and considered just as other value engineering or cost savings opportunities.
