LEED Silver (Pending Approval)

This project included demolition of an existing 89,487 SF middle school and was replaced with a new, 3-story, 131,150 SF middle school that serves 800 students. The new school includes 40 classrooms, art rooms, kitchen, dining rooms, media rooms, office areas, gymnasium with stage, and band & chorus rooms.

The building was constructed with load bearing CMU walls, structural steel and hollow core planks. The roofing system is a 60 Mil EPDM roof. The exterior veneer is predominantly brick with some corrugated metal wall panels. Interior finishes include VCT, acoustical ceiling tile, and paint, along with wood gym & stage flooring, acoustical wall and ceiling panels and column covers. In addition to the middle school building, the site included a football field along with utility services, paved vehicle circulation, concrete sidewalks, and landscaping.

The project has a target to achieve LEED Silver Certification, which is currently pending approval.
