Location: Clarksville, TN
Owner: State of Tennessee
Architect: HFR Design, Inc. / Lyle Cook Martin Architects, A Joint Venture

The Tennessee State Veterans’ Home is a 108 bed skilled nursing facility located in Clarksville, Tennessee. This is the fourth location in the State of Tennessee for the Veterans’ Home. This project was funded through a partnership between the State of Tennessee, the Department of Veteran Affairs and Montgomery County to provide long-term health care for our veterans.

Situated on a 10 acre site, this project required extensive site work and utilities to accommodate the construction of five, single story resident buildings and one community center building. All structures are wood-framed with pitched, shingle roofs and the buildings’ skin contain a combination of brick, cementitious siding, accented by synthetic stone. Interior features included painted drywall ceilings and walls in the units with a combination of VCT, carpet and vinyl flooring.  All buildings are served through an energy saving, variable refrigerant volume mechanical system.

Individual spaces include kitchens, dining halls, housekeeping, therapy rooms, a chapel, staff offices and conference room.
