PROJECTS UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Richard H. Fulton Complex Parking Garage
The Nashville Metropolitan Government was looking to create an employee parking structure that would blend aesthetically with adjacent structures without looking like a parking garage.
The Richard H. Fulton Complex Parking Garage is a 255,000 SF, Design/Build, 5-level employee parking garage located on the Richard H. Fulton Complex campus. The garage has 699 parking spaces, an area dedicated to bike and motorcycle parking. As part of Metropolitan Government’s “green initiative”, Richard H. Fulton Parking Garage is the first in Nashville to contain 2 electric vehicle charging stations.
This project is in conjunction with infrastructure upgrades and other renovations on campus. The parking garage has two elevators, three stair towers, steel wire mesh grilles in cast openings, and galvanized steel stair.
The exterior façade is brick cast into the precast concrete wall panels with a two-tone scheme to blend with other nearby campus buildings. We were able to create the desired look while offering minimal site disturbance in downtown Nashville. The design approach included exterior panels with large punched openings that were detailed to look like a building instead of a “traditional” parking garage.
