The Jim Carell Alumni Athletic Complex at Father Ryan High School is a state of the art facility that consists of several general areas. The focus of the project was the main football field and the precast concrete stadium on the home side of the field. The field is constructed of artificial turf that represents the latest in field turf design and technology. The stadium also includes a rubberized track featuring lower heat absorption. The complex includes four service buildings constructed of masonry and wood truss design which function as the Athletic Director’s Office, the Spirit / Souvenir Store, the Champions Room, Family Restrooms, Large Restrooms, and Concession Stands. The stadium consists of structural precast concrete with brick veneer, and aluminum seating and a 1,000 square foot press box constructed at the top of the stadium. There are two observation decks constructed on either side of the press box for “standing room only” crowds. The stadium’s seating capacity is just under 3000, which is a function of how much parking they have on campus.

Father Ryan’s new facility will be home to more than just the football and track teams. The soccer, lacrosse, rugby, baseball and softball teams as well as the band will use the complex. In addition to the new construction, the project includes the renovation of the football practice field, building a backstop comprised of masonry and a 30 feet tall netting for the baseball field, and reorienting  the softball field and adding dug outs, backstop, and backstop netting installation.
