Location: Goodlettsville, TN
Owner: Metro Baptist Church
Architect: HFR Design, Inc. / Lloyd Gragg

Using the Design-Build process, Hardaway delivered this new building consisting of a sanctuary, classrooms, a daycare wing, office space, plus a separate fellowship hall in less than ten months.  The complex comprises 26,275 SF and features pre-engineered buildings with a standing seam metal roof, EIFS and split face block veneer, drive under canopies, and extensive landscaping.  The sanctuary has a capacity of 816 seats including the choir and orchestra.

Only four years after moving into their new facility, the Metro Baptist Church sanctuary was completely demolished by a tornado that swept through the Goodlettsville area. Hardaway to the rescue!  First, to stabilize and seal off the rest of the building and help to secure the area around the debris.  Second, was to remove the debris so the Day Care could get back in session along with other church activities.  Then, third, the redesign and construction of the replacement sanctuary took place.  Using the Design-Build process, again, allowed the congregation to assemble in their new sanctuary in only 16 months from the day the tornado hit.
