Hardaway Begins Work For New Goodlettsville Middle School
October 9, 2014
GOODLETTSVILLE, TN - Work has begun securing the site for the new Goodlettsville Middle School. Demolition of the existing middle school, a facility that oiginally opened in 1936 as Goodlettsville High School, will begin immediately upon securing the site. When operated as a high school, this facility was the second oldest high school in Davidson County behind Hume-Fogg. Much nostalgia followed the plan to demolish this building when plans were revealed, but the Goodlettsville High School Alumni Association was in full support of creating a new learning environment for the community leaders of tomorrow.
The new, 135,587 SF, three-story facility designd by Joint Venture, ARTifice Architecture and Gresham, Smith & Partners will replace the existing 89,487 SF structure at 300 Main Street.
