About Us
Established in 1924 in Nashville, TN, Hardaway has evolved from a small home builder to a large commercial general contracting company. Nine decades later, we remain Nashville’s respected construction veteran with projects built through teamwork and relationships built on trust.
Our History
Hardaway Construction, the oldest local construction company in Nashville, was founded in 1924 by 18-year-old L. Hall Hardaway Sr. Over the next two decades, Hall Sr. and his burgeoning company built more than 1,000 homes in Tennessee and Alabama. In 1950, he launched a commercial division, which grew into the company we know today.
In 2018, David Frazier bought Hardaway Construction from Stan Hardaway and the family, after serving as president and operations manager starting in 2017. Frazier is committed to preserving the company’s legacy and forging the future with a motivated leadership team, a straightforward yet flexible approach, and a genuine, company-wide commitment to collaboration and transparency in client relationships.
Today, although no longer owned by the Hardaway family, the company remains rooted in and inspired by the founding family’s work ethic, integrity, generosity and compassion.
