VANDERBILT UNIVERSITY FEATHERINGILL HALL
Demolition/Construction/Renovation
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE
Delivering Vanderbilt University’s new school of engineering facilities involved the demolition and replacement of one of three existing buildings, and extensive renovation of the other two, all while the facility remained occupied. The result is a three-story complex spanning 150,000 SF uniting four engineering departments. The new building contains 60,000 SF of classrooms, lecture halls, research labs, shops, computer rooms, gathering spaces, and a 120-seat lecture/multimedia area. The complex also features a large, three-story atrium. The building’s exterior features materials chosen to blend into existing campus structures, and Featheringill Hall’s tower serves as a campus landmark.
